1940s short coat of multicolor fur.
Gold tone hook closure at neck with two additional hook and eyes down front.
Dramatic, prominent shoulders and long, wide sleeves.
Lined in black stripe rayon/cotton blend.
Front pockets.
Very good condition.
Fur is a bit more coarse than mink or rabbit but shiny and supple with minimal shedding.
Wear to neckline binding. 
I am not a fur expert, but with simple research I feel comfortable claiming this is raccoon fur.
